'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane dampens on Premier League return

Kane achieves his century goal for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has stated that his enthusiasm in going back to the Premier League has faded and he is open to discuss a new agreement with Bayern Munich.

The accomplished striker is at the moment halfway through the four-year deal he inked when joining from Tottenham Hotspur for £86.4m in the offseason of 2023.

The experienced forward has scored an outstanding 103 goals in 106 games for the German club, playing a key role in them claim the 2024-25 Bundesliga title - which was the first major honor of his distinguished career.

Tottenham coach Thomas Frank has previously stated that he would be pleased to see Kane go back to England, where he lacks 48 goals to surpass Alan Shearer's historic Premier League scoring feat of 260.

However, the England leader has now suggested that he is no longer as keen about going back home as he once was, and would certainly consider extending his time in Bavaria.

"In terms of remaining longer, I could certainly see that," he stated.

"I spoke openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those talks with Bayern yet, but if they were to occur I would be willing to talk and have an frank conversation.

"Obviously it relies on how the next year or so progresses and what we accomplish together. Right now, I would say we are in a fantastic moment and I am not thinking about anything else.

"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had asked me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

"Now I have been there a couple of years I would likely say that has diminished a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.

"What I have discovered in my career is that different opportunities and different periods happen and things fall in place. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am totally all in with Bayern."

Milestone Achievements and Future Ambitions

Kane is the record top scorer for both Tottenham and England and recently became the speediest player this century to hit 100 goals for a club participating in one of Europe's top five divisions, securing the landmark in just 104 games for Bayern.

However, a title had eluded him until he lifted the German title last season.

Kane admits that he was not sure how he would feel after breaking his trophy wait, but now thinks it has made him eager for more success.

"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be tempting to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he explained.

"But it's given me more drive to do more and be better. I think I've proven that this year.

"I was interested in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to achieve in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.

"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.

"But for sure, I pushed myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."

Future Prospects

  • Future success with Bayern Munich remains Kane's primary focus
  • The possibility of a Premier League return has significantly decreased
  • New contract negotiations could commence in the near future
  • Kane's exceptional goal-scoring record continues to impress
